You need to drink more water. It’s very important to stay hydrated especially during workouts and throughout the week. You need to let go of all of the high energy and high sugary drinks such as sports drinks, energy drinks, smoothies and soda. The main issue with these drinks is that when you put high sodium and carbohydrates into your body it ultimately tricks your system in retaining water and puffing you out.
Watch what you eat. We all love going to the fair and we all love fried food but if you’re really serious but losing weight you have to let that stuff go. You have to make sure your eating food that’s actually putting nutrition in your body and giving your body the energy that it needs. This is one of the things that people have the most trouble doing. But think about it this way. Is that hamburger really worth not having the body that you want? Or is that turkey leg really worth not living a long time?
Why don’t you sleep an extra half an hour tonight. You’d be surprised what this extra 30 minutes can do for your body and for your energy. You’ll feel more refreshed and a more restful sleep will also boost your metabolism. You will also make better food choices in the morning because you won’t be looking for a quick energy fix from a high sugary breakfast like pop tarts or frosted flakes.

Tip Number One: Become a Weekend Warrior!
We know that they are coming. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Bam! The weekend arrives. In studies, we have found that most people cut loose during the weekend. It’s very important to be consistent with not only your diet but with your workouts. That means doing it even through the weekend.
Tip Number Two: Drink water!
It’s important to stay hydrated especially during workouts. Stay away from the energy drinks, sports drink, smoothies, sodas and the light beer. The issue with these drinks is that they don’t satisfy you the way 100 calories of food would do. When your body takes in high sodium and carbohydrates, it tricks your body into retaining water.
Tip Number Three: Watch What You Eat!
This will improve your chances of weight loss. Fast food and fried foods can cause bloating, especially around your belly. The problem with these foods is that they digest quickly and boost the chances of you over eating later on. Instead, substitute these white grain products and fried foods with vegetables. A chicken sandwich suddenly becomes a chicken salad.
Tip Number Four: Follow the 30 minute rule!
Sleep half an hour more a night and you’ll find that this extra 30 minutes can refresh you and help you make better food choices. A more restful sleep will also boost your metabolism. You’ll be thinking about what you need to eat and not what you need for a quick engery fix.
Tip Number Five: Write out your goals!
Make sure you know the reasons why you want to loose weight. Hang it on your mirror, your steering wheel or wherever. Keep it in plain sight!
